During this session, we will:
- Review which risks have practice notes – assess what guidance is in the Conveyancing Handbook in regard to the different environmental risks and why these are important for a client to understand for the property transaction.
- Examine the four core environmental risks – contaminated land, flood, natural ground instability and radon.
- Look at additional environmental risks that can impact your clients and certain regions of the country differently – coal and non-coal mining, rail transportation, energy infrastructure, and planning applications.
- Explore climate change risk – what the impacts to property transactions are, how to navigate ClimateIndex and how we can help you with your reporting to clients.
